Born in France. Aillaud exhibited at the Salon de la Jeune Peinture and became its president in 1965. He has made collaborative paintings with Eduardo Arroyo and Antonio Recalcati such as Vivre et laisser mourir ou La Fin Tragique de Marcel Duchamp. His work is related to the Nouvelle Figuration movement, and he paints almost exclusively exotic animals and fantastic landscapes. He participated in the exhibition Mythologies Quotidiennes in the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris.
